Biography of Mandla Cyril Shabalala

Mandla Cyril Shabalala was born in Volksrust, Vukuzakhe, in a community called Lindela. From an early age, he exhibited a strong passion for leadership and community development, setting the foundation for a lifetime of service. At just 13 years old, he began his journey of inspiring and guiding others, a path that would later shape his career and ministry.

He completed his matric at Elangwane Senior Secondary School and pursued further studies, earning a Diploma in Public Relations from MSC College. His commitment to leadership and faith led him to obtain a Diploma in Ministry Leadership from Kingdom Ambassadors Training School and an NQF Level 5 qualification in Local Governance from the South African Institute of Learning (SAIL). Additionally, he has acquired multiple NQF qualifications in various disciplines from different skills development centres, further enriching his expertise in leadership and governance.

In 2009, he was ordained as a Reverend, and in 2020, he was elevated to the esteemed title of Reverend Canon under the Jubilee Association of Ministers International. His dedication to public service extended beyond the church, as he served as a Municipal Councillor from 2011 to 2016 at Thembisile Municipality. During his tenure, he chaired the Portfolio of Geographic Naming and was an active member of the Municipal Public Accounts Committee (MPAC), contributing significantly to governance and community development.

Currently residing in Phumula, formerly part of KwaNdebele, Mandla Cyril Shabalala continues to be a beacon of hope and inspiration. He considers himself a motivator and a transformational leader of his generation, dedicated to empowering individuals, shaping communities, and fostering a legacy of impactful leadership.
